Most jaw crusher users will ignore the the lubrication problem, resulting in many equipment lubrication failures and waste of lubrication materials. So what are the requirements for lubricants suitable for jaw crushers when doing maintenance? CFTC shares the following experience to customers:

A. Lubrication shall have strong stability. Since the volumes of jaw crusher and the duel tank are small, the amount of lubricant installed is also little and the temperature is high when the jaw crusher working, which decides that the lubrication should have good thermal stability and oxidation resistance.

B. The lubrication shall be corrosion resistant and can withstand pollution. The working environment of the jaw crusher machine is bad where has more coal dust, rock dust and moisture. So the lubrication of the jaw crusher is inevitably contaminated by these impurities. Thus, the lubrication shall has good anti-rust, anti-corrosion and anti-emulsification properties. Because only with these properties, would the lubrication not change too much, in other words, the lubrication should be less sensitive to pollution.

C. The lubrication shall be less affected by the temperature. The jaw crushing machine works outside, and the temperature in different time and seasons changes a lot, which demands the lubrication being not sensitive to the temperature. That is to say, the viscosity of the lubrication won’t get too weak to form lubrication film when the temperature gets too high, and the viscosity of the lubrication also shall not become too high to run when the temperature gets too low.

D. The lubrication shall has good fire resistance. Due to the stone jaw crusher machine is used in mine where is easy to have fire and explosion accidents, so its lubrication should have good fire resistance, never the combustible mineral oil.

E. The lubrication shall has good sealing. The lubrication used for the jaw crusher should have good adaptation to the seals in case the seals get damaged. Jaw crusher, as the most widely used equipment in the contemporary sand and gravel market, its lubrication should be pay more attention to in the process of use and maintenance. Choose a lubricant suitable for jaw crusher to reduce the occurrence of failures and improve the operation rate of the equipment.
