Differences Between Circular Vibrating Screen And Linear Screen

There is no essential difference between the circular vibrating screen and the linear vibrating screen in terms of form and structure. Materials are sieved through vibrating screen deck and different vibration locus has no effect on the screening.

Working Principle Circular vibrating screen

Circular vibrating screen is a multi-layer, high-efficiency new vibrating screen. The circular vibrating screen adopts a cylinder-type eccentric shaft exciter and an eccentric block to adjust the amplitude. It has a long flowing line of material and has many screening specifications. The motor is driven by the V-belt to cause the eccentric block of the exciter to rotate at a high speed, generating a large centrifugal inertial force, exciting the screen box to produce a circular motion with a certain amplitude. The material on the screen is subjected to the impulse transmitted by the screen box on the inclined screen surface and began generating continuous throwing motion. And the particles smaller than the sieve hole penetrate the sieve when the material meets the sieve surface, so as to achieve classification.

Linear vibrating screen Working Principle

The linear vibrating screen is driven by double exciters. When the two exciters are synchronized and reversely rotated, the excitation force generated by the eccentric block cancels each other in the direction parallel to the motor axis. And it is a combined force in the direction perpendicular to the motor axis, so the trajectory of the screen machine is a straight line. The two motor shafts have an inclination angle with respect to the screen surface. Under the combined action of the exciting force and the gravity of the material, the material is thrown up and jumps forward in a linear motion on the screen surface, so as to achieve the purpose of screening and grading the material.

1. Movement track

The material on the circular vibrating screen moves circularly while the material on the linear screen moves linearly forward.

2. Exciter

The circular vibrating screen is called a single-axis vibrating screen because the exciter is a shaft and works with an inertial motor. The exciter of linear vibrating screen consists of two shafts and works on the principle of vibrating motor vibration, so it is also called double Shaft shaker.

3. Plugging

The material of the circular vibrating screen moves in a parabolic circular trajectory on the screen surface, so that the material is dispersed as much as possible to improve the springing force of the material, and the material caught in the screen hole can also jump out, reducing the phenomenon of plugging.

4. Installation and arrangement

Due to the small inclination of the screen surface, the height of the screen is reduced for the linear vibrating screen, which is convenient for process layout.

5. Screen surface inclination

The inclination angle of the circular vibrating screen surface can be changed according to the particle size of the material, , thereby changing the movement speed of the material along the screen surface and increasing the processing capacity of the screen machine. Generally speaking, the inclination of the screen surface of the linear vibrating screen in production is small.

6. Processing capacity

For the circular vibrating screen, since the exciter is arranged above the center of gravity of the screen box, the elliptical long axes of the two ends of the screen box form a lower chines character figure eight. And the upper end of the long axis of the ellipse at the feeding end is facing the discharging direction, which is helpful for the material to quickly spread out. The upper end of the long axis of the ellipse at the discharge end is opposite to the discharge direction, which reduces the speed of material movement and facilitates the penetration of difficult-to-screen materials. Moreover, the arc-shaped screen surface increases the effective area of the screen machine, thereby improving its processing capacity.
