As we all know, the common mine crushing production line roughly includes three major links: coarse crushing, fine crushing, and sand making. Reasonable configuration of equipment is very critical in increasing the output of the entire crushing line and improving the particle shape. In the process of fine crushing, three types of jaw crusher, cone crusher, and impact crusher are commonly used. However, impact crushers are mostly used to process soft materials, so its difference between the other two is obvious. But what are the differences between fine jaw crushers and cone crushers? The structure and principle of the fine jaw crusher and the coarse jaw crusher are very similar, and the working mode is still driven and extruded. The material is squeezed and crushed in the crushing cavity composed of the movable jaw and the fixed jaw. While the cone crusher adopts the laminated crushing method. Below we mainly talk about the difference between the two in practical production.
1) The feed size of cone crusher is relatively large. Generally materials smaller than 500mm can be fed (single-cylinder cone crusher). While the maximum feed size of fine jaw crusher is 250mm (the specific situation depends on the product model).
2) In terms of production capacity, the cone crusher far exceeds that of the fine jaw crusher. The single machine output of the fine jaw crusher is up to 105t/h, while the single machine output of the cone crusher is more than 1000t/h.
3) In terms of the hardness of the processed materials, the compressive strength of the two is basically the same, between 300-350Mpa.
From the perspective of the overall shape, the cone crusher is 1.7-2 times heavier than the fine jaw crusher with the same specifications of the feed port, and the body is generally 2-3 times higher than the fine jaw crusher, so the construction cost of the plant is relatively large.
Cone crushers are not suitable for crushing wet and viscous ores, and are more suitable for processing flake or long hard ores, while fine jaw crushers can almost meet all kinds of materials.
The cone crusher can be fully filled with feed material, and it can be fed directly without adding a silo and feeder. The cone crusher can be fed directly from the conveyor belt without adding a silo and feeder. Generally, the fine jaw crusher cannot be filled with the feeding material, and the feeding is required to be uniform. Additional mineral deposits and feeders are required, and auxiliary equipment is added investment costs.
When comparing the grain shape of the impact crusher and the cone crusher, the former has a good-looking grain shape with fewer edges and corners, while the cone crusher has more needles and flakes in the finished product. Compared with the fine jaw crusher, the cone crusher has a better plastic effect. (If the particle size requirements are more stringent, another crushing and shaping machine can be configured) 06 Price comparison As we all know, the price of cone crusher is much more higher than the fine jaw crusher due to the influence of wearing parts and structure. 07 Maintenance Any equipment needs a certain period and a certain regular maintenance and maintenance during the use process. Compared with the fine jaw crusher, although the initial investment cost of the cone crusher is high, the wearing parts are wear-resistant, the maintenance cycle is long, and the maintenance is simpler and more convenient, which will save a lot of manpower and time. Through the comparison of the cone crusher and the fine jaw crusher, it is found that both have their unique advantages and disadvantages. When purchasing, you need to comprehensively consider your actual situation before making a decision. Considering the cost issue, both types of equipment can meet the crushing needs, and if the output can be achieved, the fine jaw crusher is preferred, and the cone crusher should be selected when the output is large and the large-scale factory production is required. When the wet viscous ore is processed, it is recommended fine jaw crusher, and cone crusher should be used when processing particularly hard ores. The details still need to be determined according to the actual production needs of users.
