Uses of silica

Silica is the general term for vein quartz, quartzite, and quartz sandstone. It is mainly divided into crystalline silica, cemented silica, vein quartz, etc. The appearance of crystalline silica is generally milky white, gray-white, light yellow and reddish-brown, with bright luster, smooth and continuous section, and sharp edges and corners, hardness, strength They are all very large. The appearance of cemented silica is white, gray-white, yellow-gray, black, red, etc., and the section is dense, shell-shaped, without obvious granular structure and the sharp edges of the section are not obvious, and there is almost no luster. Silica has a wide range of uses, mainly used in acid refractory bricks in the metallurgical industry, and because the chemical and physical properties of silica are very stable, after processing, it meets the standards for construction sand and can be used as natural sand in buildings, roads, hydropower used in many industries.

Crusher suitable for processing silica

Jaw Crusher

The jaw crusher is mainly used for the first crushing and coarse crushing in the sand and gravel production line. The jaw crusher has a large crushing ratio and strong crushing capacity. Cone crusher

Common medium and fine crushing equipment includes cone crusher and impact crusher. Since the hardness and strength of silica are relatively large, its hardness can reach level 7, and its compressive strength is also about 200-300Mpa, so it is more suitable for lamination crushing. Cone crusher with principle operation, high wear resistance material, strong wear resistance and low failure rate.

VSI crusher

The VSI crusher is also known as the vertical shaft impact sand making machine, which is mainly used for three-stage sand making and shaping, and mainly adopts the working principle of "stone hitting stone" and "stone hitting iron". The protection of natural sand mining and the continuous development of infrastructure results in the continuous gap expansion between the supply and demand of sand and gravel.
