What Is a Trapezoid Mill?
A trapezoid mill is a type of industrial grinding mill that features a unique trapezoidal grinding surface. This design enhances the grinding efficiency and effectiveness compared to traditional mills. The fineness of finished products can be adjusted arbitrarily between 30-400 mesh.
The trapezoid grinding mill can grind and process various non-flammable and explosive mineral materials with Mohs hardness below 9.3 and humidity below 6%, such as cement (raw clinker), quartz, feldspar, calcite, dolomite, graphite, fluorite, wollastonite, phosphate rock, phosphate fertilizer, coal, coal gangue, slag, zircon sand, talc, granite, potassium feldspar, marble, barite, ceramics, glass and other more than 1,000 kinds of materials.
What Is Trapezoid Mill Used For?
CFTC trapezoid mill is often used for grinding a variety of materials into fine powders. This versatility makes trapezoid mills essential equipment in modern industrial processes. Here are some applications of a trapezoid mill:
Metallurgy
Electric Power
Chemical Industry
Building Materials
Construction Materials
Cement & Concrete
Grinding Powder Plant
Mineral Processing
Pharmaceuticals
Agriculture Industry
What Are the Features of Trapezoid Mill?
1. Novel design, reasonable structure, small occupied area, and high-cost performance.
2. Adopt trapezoidal grinding rollers and grinding rings that can improve the grinding efficiency.
3. Use the pressure spring that can balance the pressurization and the elastic connection that can stabilize the shock absorption. Low power consumption and long operating life.
4. The unique design of the inwardly inclined air duct ensures that the material entering the air inlet shell can smoothly fall into the mill along the inclined plane.
5. The important parts of the trapezoidal mill are made of high-quality castings and profile steel. The fine craftsmanship and rigorous process ensure the durability of the entire set of equipment.
6. The electrical system adopts centralized control, and the grinding workshop can realize unmanned operation and maintenance.
What Are the Parts of Trapezoid Mill?
Trapezoid grinding mill is similar to the structure of other milling machines, it consists of a complex assembly of parts that are main frame, main motor, grinding roller, grinding ring, classifier, speed reducer, blower, powder collector, gearbox, etc.
The most vulnerable parts of a trapezoid mill machine include the grinding roller, grinding ring, and decelerator. Regular inspection, maintenance, and use of high-quality parts are essential to ensure the efficient operation of the mill.
How Does Trapezoid Mill Work?
The motor drives the central shaft to rotate through the reducer, and the upper end of the shaft is connected to the grinding roller hanger. Under the action of centrifugal force, the grinding roller also rolls around the raceway of the grinding ring. The grinding roller itself rotates due to friction. A blade holder is installed under the grinding roller hanger. The front end of the blade is close to the lining plate of the grinding chamber, and the rear end is near the wedge-shaped gap formed by the grinding roller and the grinding ring.
During the simultaneous rotation of the blades and the grinding roller, the material is shoveled and thrown into the space between the grinding rollers and the rings to be squeezed and ground. The airflow entering the grinding cavity from the bottom of the grinding ring will bring the qualified powder to the classifier, thereby achieving the purpose of grinding.
